50 free books from historically marginalized voices every month.
About:
In the middle of 2020 we witnessed the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. As two people with inherent white privilege, we will never understand what Black people or any traditionally marginalized group endures every day in America, but we decided to use our privilege by offering books that have helped us see beyond ourselves.
Each month, we giveaway at least 50 books from people of color, queer authors, authors with disabilities and voices that have historically been marginalized in America. We are now purchasing all our books from our friends at A Good Used Book, an independent bookstore in Los Angeles.
We know that books alone will not solve our problems, but we believe education breeds empathy, and empathy breeds action.
